In this Kinemaster editing tutorial, I am going to tell "How to edit video with Kinemaster". I am not going to cover each and every features of kinemaster app but only the one that is more useful for video editing process.
So once you open your kinemaster app, this is the first screen that you will encounter. These options will help you setup your app and also you can purchase a kinemaster pro version to remove watermark or access premium features of this app. In pro version, you will get a ton of features like Asset store , Transitions, Overlay, fonts and animations.
Click on this big button in the middle, it will ask you to select aspect ratio of your project , i.e., 16:9 for wide screens, 9:16 for portrait like your phone,or 1:1 Square videos.
Let's select 16:9. here is one tip: make sure to select correct aspect ratio as you will not be able to change it later.
After entering app, you will get an option to select media files, let's select any file from your phone folders and it will open Kinemaster editing interface. Let me first explain you all items on this.
Media will help you import your media files like your video or pictures that you want to edit.
Layer will help you to add Media , effects, overlays or text.
Voice will help you to record your audio to add into this project
Audio will help you to add audio/songs from your phone and
Middle red button will help you capture your screen.
On the left hand, we have back button, undo button to reverse any previous change, then we have a redo button.
Then we have capture button, it will help you to capture images from your clip, and you can add later on your timeline.
Next up you have settings, then a button to expand your video layers in case you are working with more clips and it's difficult to manage. And the last button will help you jump between start and end of your videos.
This is your monitor, this is the place where you will see the clip that you are currently editing. Now select the clip on your timeline to open your editing options, you will get a ton of options to edit videos with free kinemaster app.
Now, let me first start with Trim/Split.
This has four options to trim videos and can edit video based on play head. Playhead is the highlighted portion. first select
"Trim to left of playhead" to delete the clip from left side of your playhead.
"Trim to rightof playhead", it will delete the clip from the right side of playhead.
How to remove a middle part of video -
Now if you see the clip, someone is crossing in between so we need to remove that middle part, Go to the part from where you want to remove and click on "Split at playhead" , it will divide your clip into two parts. Now play your clip, and pause when the person is completely removed from screen and click on "Split at playhead" , it will split video into one more part and now you have total three trims on your clip. select the middle one and delete it by hitting delete button from left hand options. Now you have two clips without any one blocking it in between.
Pan and Zoom -
You can zoom-in your clips. select the clip and it will appear on "start position" window , now zoom in on your clip and select the exact position where you want to start your zoom part. Next click on equal sign to complete the process. do the same thing on another clip to zoom. Now, you have two clips with zoom feature applied.
Audio -
You can play with different audio features. like left or right audio or you can also change pitch of your edited clip.
Clip Graphics -
You can add graphics on your clips. Let's try "More Title effects" .
Open text edit window. Click on this icon to choose your font, you can select from Android or Latin font. You can now add text. We can also edit line color, click on this"Line color" to change color. You can select from this palette or from another option.
You can Rotate or do Mirroring of your clips in case you have some problem with actual video clip.
Next We have "Color Filter" to change color on your clip or you can also select Adjustment to change Brightness , Contrast , Saturation and Vibrance of your clip.
There are other options available to help edit audio of your clip. let's add one more clip and check "Speed" feature. Click on "clip" to add it to the timeline. Let's click on "Speed" to speed up things. You can increase the speed up-to 8 times.
Select on Layer to add new video or audio, if you are editing your video for youtube , you can add a watermark as well let's click on layer and select image "the tech bokeh" , after adding, you can change the size of image and also play with other properties like in and out animations.
You can also crop your image by selecting mask option and then select shape. now, click on clip handle and expand it to make sure it is covering all clips.
In layers, we can also add effects or overlays.
You can also add Text on the screen , click on text and it will appear on screen.
Next we have voice option to add your voice on clips. You can record and add your own voice in your video.
Next we have Audio to add sound on this clip,you can select songs from your phone. let's select this song to add onto timelines. next click on this button to expand clips and remove or trim extra clip. In this place , we can remove unwanted and extra footage and give a final touch to our edited video. These are the options to edit and play with audio settings.
Click on settings to change audio or video property, you can add a fade in or fade out at the start or end of project.
Once done, click on "Export" button to export your edited clips, you can change the resolution and frame rate as well. Once exported, you can edit the name of your final project. Click on edit and update name.
